Human Rights Protection and Legal Service Center (HRPLSC) Nepal is a regional NGO registered on 2000 in Rukum DAO under the associations registration Act,1977. HRPLSC envisions a just and equitable society wherein everyone exercises his or her fundamental rights in a fear free environment. It has been working in the Mid and Far Western Development Regions  area in human rights protection and promotion, good governance and social accountability, conflict transformation and peace building through awareness building activities, advocacy campaigns and community mobilization.
Currently, HRPLSC is implementing Mutual Accountability: Local Initiatives Project with the support of FHI360 in Rukum, Rolpa, Salyan and Pyuthan Districts for three years. The goal of the project is to strengthen the effective civil society and media oversight for public resource use and public service delivery at local level.
In this context, HRPLSC intends to hire qualified Nepali citizen for the following position for the successful implementation of this project.
1. Post Title: District Officers ( 3 Persons)
Post Duration                              :1 Year (Possibility of extension depending up on the performance)
Required number                      : Three (3 Persons)
Vacancy publication date        :3 March 2017
Duty Station                                :District/duty station will be determined after selection. (Possible districts Rukum, Rolpa, Salyan and Pyuthan)

Required Qualifications and Experiences:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Social Science or any other relevant subjects,
  • At least three years work experiences in similar field(s),
  • Knowledge and skills to operate MS Office package along with email- internet is must,
  • Sound skills on report writing, documentation, record keeping,
  • Sound knowledge and skills in English and Nepali Languages (both oral and written),
  • Knowledge of good governance and social accountability,
  • Good interpersonal, communication and coordination skills among the staff and other concern stakeholders.
 Specific Responsibilities:
  • Overall management of district level program activities; including planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation,
  •  Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual micro planning along with operating calendar for day-to-day activities,
  • Conduct research in designated GoNs based on project format
  • Establish relationship with government agencies and other CSOs and other relevant agencies for smooth and effective implementation of project activities in district.
  • Conduct regular field visits in selected VDCs with proper preparation beforehand,  
  • Provide regular capacity building support to facilitators where relevant and other change agents, and mobilize them for project activities,
  • Develop monthly, quarterly and annual report and timely submit to HRPLSC regional office,
  • Supporting the arrangement of logistics for project implementation in the district/s.
